The colder the better. I can only tolerate diet cola when it is super cold. My grandfather drank a small amount of Coke daily, to 'wet his whistle'. He was a smoker, and he found just a swig at a time refreshing. He had a Tupperware bottle capper affixed to the bottle in use at the time; he would pop that open, take a swig and exclaim 'Ahhhhh!', re-cap it and put it back in the fridge. We grandkids tried to be there with a look of Longing when we heard the refrigerator door open. Sometimes we were rewarded with a 'swig', and could say 'ahhhh!' just like Grandpa. In later years, my cousin's cute little daughter asked for a 'swig' and, because it was time for their family to leave, Grandpa gave her an ENTIRE 16 OZ. BOTTLE. That led to my cousin fussing because WE never got a whole bottle all to ourselves. Amusing, yet so true. Some were 6 oz., some 6.5oz, and some were 5.5oz. When selecting a coke from an open top dispenser, always tried to get the 6.5. It always seemed that the small bottle cokes tasted better than the 10oz cokes. We assumed the 10oz were watered down. Maybe the small bottle had a "magic" shape. I can remember when there was only the six and a half oz. bottle. The real fun was to look on the bottom of the bottle (after emptying it) to see in what city the bottle originated.(not necessarily your) Uncle Skiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02705753220273516841noreply@blogger.com
